April Fuentez is Baby Boot Camp to Culver City! Baby Boot Camp is a stroller-based fitness program designed to help moms get fit in a supportive and empathetic environment, combining strength-training exercises, cardiovascular drills, Pilates, yoga, and ab work. Eliminating the need for a babysitter and facilitating familial bonding, women are encouraged to bring along their new bundle and even use the stroller as a resistance tool. Special Events, Clinics and Workshops
Sunday, February 26, 2012, 9:30 a.m.
Course Preview and Trail Running Clinic
The most exciting race in the region this year is the Malibu Daytime and Moonlight Madness Trail Runs to be held on Saturday, March 10th. To help everyone get ready for the event, we will be hosting a preview of the course with the race director and a trail running clinic with special guest Jason Robillard, author of “The Barefoot Running Book”. For more on Jason, he is at Barefoot Running University.
Last year, the first annual Malibu Daytime and Moonlight Madness Trail runs were held at the top of Coral Canyon in Malibu. This year it will start at the trailhead of the Sycamore Canyon Trail. Read what Cyril Jay-Rayon, one of the sponsors of the event, posted on his blog about last years event.
There are lots of options to challenge every runner. There are two morning races including a 10K with 650’ of climbing (double that of the Baldwin Hills Overlook), and a half marathon. In the evening at 6:00 pm, you have the option of a 10K or another half marathon. Awesome! The 10km is an out and back that leads runners into the stunning Serrano Valley at the bottom of the beautiful cliffs leading to the high point in the Santa Monica Mountains. The half marathon course is absolutely superb with a lot of variety.
You must RSVP for the course preview and clinic to be held at the race site in Malibu on February 26th (two weeks before the race) at 9:30 a.m. Please email us at events@sportsforeve or call us at 310 838-6588 to reserve your space.
