Two New Training Series for 2010

LA TriCHICKS SUNDAY SPECIAL starring The Santa Monica Mountains

When: SUNDAYS at 8:00 AM beginning January 24, 2010
Who: INTERMEDIATE CYCLISTS
What: 3 Hour Hill Ride
Where: Santa Monica Mountains
Meeting Location: Malibu Civic Center  23555 Civic Center Way, Malibu, CA  90265  ** Please park on street across from Civic Center: free.

It’s all about: “One hill at a time”

Requirements: You must be comfortable riding in a group on Pacific Coast Highway keeping an average pace of 15-17 mph on the flats.  Climbing is a different story – don’t worry about it!  All rides will leave from the Malibu Civic Center at 8:00 am unless otherwise noted. 

We will always sweep the entire ride.  You will not be alone!

Tentative Schedule:

January 24 - Ride #1: BIKE SKILLS + FLAT BASE RIDE 40 miles Review of bike skills + Base Ride up PCH to Sycamore Canyon and return http://www.mapmytri.com/route/us/ca/malibu/890656324526

January 31 - Ride #2: PCH to Encinal Canyon 35 miles with 2,500 feet of climbing

February 7 - Ride #3: PCH up Mulholland

February 14 - Ride #4: PCH up Encinal Canyon

February 21 - Ride #5: PCH up Latigo

February 28 - Ride #6: PCH up Yerba Buena

March 7 - OFF

March 14 - Ride #7

Future rides will be posted as the months progress. The weekly ride details will be posted several days prior to the ride. Rain day cancellations will posted the Saturday evening prior to the ride at 8:00 pm.
